Makeanvedenhelmikorusetti

Syskyn pimeyteen kaipaa hieman kimellystä ja juhlaa. Tämä makeanvedenhelmistä ja Svarowski-helmistä tehty korusetti antaa pienen kimalluksen arkipäivään, mutta sopii täydellisesti myös juhlaan. Pitkät roikkuvat korvakorut ovat uudet lempparini, sillä ne sopivat muotonsa ansiosta hyvin kasvoihini. Saatan tehdä muutamat muutkin pitkät korvikset joulunajan juhliin. Ideoita on, mutta toteutusta täytyy vielä hetki odottaa.

Kokeilin ensi kertaa tehdä silkkilankaan solmuja helmien väliin. Opin, ettei se ole niin helppoa. Netissä oli erilaisia ohjeita, miten solmun saa oikealle paikalleen pinsettien tai neulan avulla. Itse jouduin tekemään joka väliin kaksi tai kolme solmua. Kaksi siksi, että helmien reiät olivat liian suuret vain yhdelle ja kolme siksi, että kaksi ensimmäistä saattoivat osua hieman huonoon kohtaan. Ensi kerralla osaan jo paremmin!

In autumn's darkness one needs a bit of glamour and shine. This set of necklace and earrings made with light pink freshwater beads is great for making a normal day a bit more festive. The long earrings are my new favorite since they fit me very well. I might be doing more long earrings for the holidays. I have many ideas but I still need to decide what I will make.

For the first time I tried to make knots to silk thread between the beads. I learned that it isn't that easy. I searched for different instructions online and found many techniques with tweezers or a needle. I was forced to do two or three knots between each bead. I made two because one was too small for the holes of the beads. For some places I made three knots because the two first ones didn't go over each other. Next one will be easier to make!
