Näyttävä juhlakoru

Muistatteko kuukauden takaisen postauksen peyotekokeiluja, ja sieltä hieman tyhjän näköisen helmillä ympyröidyn ison oranssin lasihelmen? Nyt siitä tehty koru on vihdoin valmis! Kesti kauan keksiä mitä haluan koruun lisätä. Kun olin laittanut lasihelmen ympärille punaisia pikkuhelmiä ja Swarovskin kristallihelmiä, pidin lopputuloksesta. Kokeilin lisätä riipusta ketjuihin, mutta ne näyttivät hassuilta, eivätkä sopineet koruun ollenkaan. Niinpä ostin siemenhelmiä ja tein helmikauppiaan ohjeella siemenhelmistä spiraaliketjun. Ketju on kääntyvää kalanruotoa, joka mielestäni paksuudeltaan ja ulkonäöllisesti sopii hyvin tämän tyyppisiin juhlaviin koruihin.

Siemenhelmien valitseminen ketjuun ei ollut sekään tällä kertaa ihan yksinkertaista. Ensin ostamistani helmistä tein jo 20 cm:n ketjun, mutta kun kokeilin sitä koruun, väri oli liian keltainen. Niinpä päätin valita messuilta uuden sopivamman ja elegantimman värin. Ostinkin messutarjouksesta siemenhelmirasian, jonka sisältämät helmet olivat hieman paremman värisiä, kuin aiemmin ostamani. Muutaman minuutin päästä toisen myyjän pöydällä silmiini osui kuitenkin aivan täydellisen värisiä siemenhelmiä. Niinpä ostin vielä kolmannet siemenhelmet ja tein ketjun niistä. Lopputulos on mielestäni onnistunut ja tyylikäs.

Juhlakorua koristaa keskellä suuri lasihelmi.

Do you remember a plain circled orange glass bead that was shown in a post about a month ago? Well, now I have made a necklace out of that! It took some time to figure out what I wanted to make with it. When I had added the red small seed beads and the Swarovski beads I liked the outcome. I tried to use it as a pendant with chains but it looked a bit stupid with all of the ones I had. So i decided to make a seed bead chain for it. I used the pattern that a bead shop owner showed me. It is a twisting herring bone chain that fits for this kind of festive jewelry by its thickness and looks.

Choosing the seed beads for the chain was not the easiest task this time. At first I made a 20 cm chain with one color and when testing it with the pendant I decided that it was too yellow. So I decided to find a better one at the expedition. In the first table I found a better color that I bought. After a few minutes in another table I came across with another color that I thought was perfect for my necklace so I bought a third color. I used this color to finish my work and now I am satisfied. The outcome is sophisticated and the chain doesn't pop out. It fits perfectly to the pendant part.
